Fund Isaan Alumni 2021: Air

Air became a Fund Isaan scholarship student in 2018. It was foreseen that he would graduate in 2022  with a bachelor degree in Political Science from Ramkhamhaeng University in Bangkok. But Air graduated one year earlier by taking and passing as many credits per academic session as his university allowed.

He has also passed an entrance exam for a government service. The exam was issued by the Office of the Civil Service Commission . This means Air will be employed at one of the government agencies. His preference is to work for the Department of Provincial Administration.

We are very proud of Air. He sent us a short message for his sponsors:

"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Raicher,

I would like to thank you for the opportunity you have given me with my education. I have now graduated with a bachelor degree. My dream does come true and without you, this wouldn’t be possible. ”

Military service is still mandatory in Thailand, although not all boys have to join the army. Who does and who doesn't is decided through a military draw. Air will join the army on November 1, 2021 and serve his country for 1 years before he can start his job.  Having past the above mentioned exam Air is guaranteed a job after he finishes his year at the army.
