July 2017: Four Computer Classes Installed!

In early July 2017, with the helps of volunteers from both delaware consulting and Deloitte Belgium, and the students from Rajamangala University of Technology Isan (Surin), we installed four new computer classes at Banpluang (Bamrungrat) School, Saikeaw Wittaya School (replacement of previously installed class) , Cheupleung Wittaya School (replacement of previously installed class)  and lastly at Tangjai Wittayakhom School. We also repaired more than fifteen existing classes installed in previous years at schools located around Surin, Buriram and Roi-Et.

As for our new classes at Banpluang (Bamrungrat) School and Tangjai Wittayakhom School. The official handover ceremonies were held by the schools, a week after the installation. Fund Isaan and the volunteers were all invited to join the event. We were very warmly welcomed and blessed by the students, teachers, director and the local community!

Fund Isaan surprised both schools and their communities with an English library named after its sponsor; "delaware English Library". The library included a wooden cupboard, filled with over 250 English books especially selected to meet the level of the students. Special thanks to delaware consulting for their huge support with this.

In the remaining days of our stay, our volunteer team headed up to the North of Thailand to meet with Hana Microelectronics. Hana had expressed interest in our project and wanted to learn more about its content and execution. During a 2,5 hour meeting we exchanged ideas. We look forward to further collaboration with Hana. As always, we travelled with a mission to improve education!

In the end, on behalf of Fund Isaan, the students, schools and their communities we would like to thank delaware BeLux and Deloitte Belgium for their great support in sponsoring these new computer classes and English Library and to all the delaware and Deloitte volunteers for their times and dedication with Fund Isaan Computer Classroom Project 2017!
