IT Classes 2009: Saikeaw School, Koktakean School & Khokyang School

The Challenge: three schools in one week !

After a successfull installation of one computer class in 2007 in Ban Thanong School and two computer classes in Tabao Wittaya and Cheu Pleun school in 2008, we wanted to lift the bar a little higher in 2009, by installing three computer classes this year. Not only because we want to proof we can do better each year but even more because of the many requests we got from other schools.

IT Class: Cheu Pleung School

After having successfully installed two computer classes at Ban Thanong School and Tabaowittaya schools we decided to do the same at Cheuploengwittaya (Cheun Pleung) school. Cheun Pleung is a secondary school (level 7 to 12) situated in the village of Cheun Pleung in the province of Surin. Cheun Pleung offers education to almost 600 students. Cheun Pleung immediately agreed to our conditions as laid down in our memorandum of understanding. In this document the schools commits to put the classroom at the disposal of former students, other schools and adults and to organize adult IT classes.

IT Class: Ta Bao Wittaya School

After the success at Ban Thanong School many other schools applied for a computer class. Based on our previous experience we decided to only work with schools that offer secundary education (level 7 to level 12) To make sure we only work with those schools that are completely committed to take best use of the equipment offered we work with a memorandum of understanding. In this agreement the schools commit to put the classroom at the disposal of their former students, other schools and adults and to organize adult education.

IT Class: Ban Thanong School

Ban Thanong School was to first school in Isaan that received a computer class from Fund Isaan. This article showcases our experiences with the school throughout the years. Ban Thanong School is a typical local school, situated nearby Prasat in the middle of the rice fields. It educates about 550 children from level 1 to level 9 (third year of secondary school). The infrastructure the school possesses is very basic. When we first visited the school in January 2007 the headmaster showed us the completely outdated computer class of the school.
