IT Classes
Bridging the digital divide in Isaan schools through accessible and engaging IT education

Why IT Education Matters
Thirty years ago, the primary educational challenge in less-developed regions was basic literacy, learning to read and write. Today, Information Technology (IT) has become crucial for accessing knowledge and driving economic and social progress. While wealthier regions harness IT extensively, less-developed areas often lag behind due to insufficient infrastructure. Even schools in developed countries struggle to maintain up-to-date technology, making this challenge even greater for schools in regions like Isaan.
Our Approach to Digital Inclusion
Fund Isaan provides schools in northeast Thailand with modern, fully-equipped computer classes. Each setup includes multiple computers, adapted to each school's size and needs, a multifunctional printer, and a stable internet connection. Additionally, we supply standard software alongside our custom-developed learning tools and e-learning platforms tailored for children.
Fund Isaan volunteers handle the installation and ongoing maintenance of these computer labs throughout their lifecycle, also training local teachers to effectively utilize the technology. In exchange, we ask schools to offer adult education programs for the local community and to open their facilities to neighboring schools. This fosters a sustainable cycle of community-wide learning and empowerment.
