In 2008 Min became one of our first scholarship students. Min was in her third year at Ban Thanong School. Min lived with her parents and two brothers in a very old wooden house. The house was 15 kilometers away from her school. Min and her younger brother went to school together on an old bicycle. When we first visited her family at home, we gave her 3,000 baht extra to buy a new bicycle.

In 2008, You became one of our first scholarship students. You lived with her parents and three siblings in a small wooden house and had just started her fourth year at Prasat Witthayakarn School. The school was about 15 kilometers from her house. You’s parents were poor farmers with four children.  They could not pay for the school bus, so, You had to travel to school by an old rotten bicycle every day.
