Eager to interact with foreigners Em decided to study Tourism Management at Mahasarakham University. At that time Tourism was one of the most important sources of income for the Thai Economy.

We first met Nu in 2014 when he was studying mechanics at Sangkha technical school. Nu also had two older sisters both studying at university. Even with a scholarship from Fund Isaan his parents could not afford a third child going to university. Nu had to stop school until his sisters graduated. This could not stop Nu from accomplishing his dream.

From the first day we met Tee back in 2017 we knew he was a quiet but hard working young man. During his school breaks he worked at a petrol station, serving clients. Later he obtained a drivers license and drove a delivery van for 7/11. In May 2021 he graduated with a high certificate in Electrical Power from Prasat Industrial and Community Education College.

Nut received her first Fund Isaan scholarship in 2017 when she started her study at Boromarajonani College of Nursing in Surin. Nut has three siblings, her parents are farmers. Without support Nut would never have been able to continue her education and accomplish her dream to become a nurse. Boromarajonani college is known for its strict rules but also for the quality of its graduates.
