Name was granted a scholarship in 2012, when he was 18 and had just finished his high school. His parents were farmers. Between seeding and harvest they worked as daylaborers on construction sites. Name had a younger sister who was studying in high school.

With the scholarship from Fund Isaan, Name was able to continue his studies and obtain a high certificate in Electronics at Sangkha Industrial and Community Education College.

In 2014, Ton was 19 and had just finished his high school with a grade of 75%. Fund Isaan granted him a scholarship and he continued his another two years of Auto Mechanic education at Prasat Industrial and Community Education College. He successfully graduated in March 2016.

Aum was 19 in 2014. She lived in a village called Baan Kang-an, in the province of Surin. She had just finished her high school at Prasat Industrial and Community Education College, where she studied Accounting. Aum graduated with a grade of 3.90 (97%).

A Fund Isaan Alumni part twenty six: King

In 2014 Fund Isaan granted King a scholarship. King was 18 years old. He lived in Samut village not very far from our offices. King had just finished his high school at Prasat Industrial and Community Education College, where he studied Electronics.

King wanted to continue another two years to obtain a high certificate which would increase his opportunities for a good job substantially. Without the scholarship this would not have been possible for King, his financial background simply did not allow it. King felt very honored to have been selected by Fund Isaan.

Baan Thanong Sports Hall Renovation 2017

In 2007 Deloitte Belgium funded the construction of a brand new multi-function sports hall at Baan Thanong Witthaya School. The hall was branded as the “Deloitte” building.

The hall contains of a multifunctional sports field (922 sqms.), double bathrooms, offices and dressing rooms on both sides. Besides this the room has a stage for award ceremonies, plays and other official events. The hall has 9 large access doors (four on each side and one in the front).

Pung was born in 1993 in a poor family in Prasat, Surin. There were six people in Pung’s family. They all lived together in a small wooden house. Her grandmother was very old. Pung had one older sister and one younger sister who were both still studied in the nearby schools. Her parents were farmers and owned only 2 rai (3200 square meter) of rice fields, which was too little to run a profitable farm. They sometimes rent other people’s field to grow rice.  Pung’s family didn’t own any cattle.

Aom had studied Accounting but was struggling to pay for her higher education. Fund Isaan, sponsored by 3AMB, granted Aom a scholarship to continue another two years to obtain a high certificate.

In 2014, Ann lived in a small village called Baan Ahphone in Surin province and had just finished her high school at Sangkha Industrial and Community Education College.  Ann wanted to continue another two year in accounting to obtain a high certificate to increase her chance in getting a good job in the future. Ann graduated from high school with a grade of 3.12 (78%). She was a good student and she needed help, Fund Isaan granted her a scholarship.

In 2014, Chang had just finished his high school at Prasat Industrial and Community Education College, where he studied Electronics. Chang graduated with a grade of 3.33 (83%) and wanted to continue another two years to obtain a high certificate. Chang had just turned 18 when Fund Isaan granted him a scholarship. He lived in a small rotten semi wooden house in Plai village near Prasat district. He lived there with his grandparents, his mother and his younger sister.
